A half-dozen companies and six young businessmen and businesswomen are in the running for the Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center’s 2025-26 annual awards.
The chamber announced finalists for Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Young Female Professional of the Year and Young Male Professional of the Year on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Large business finalists are Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, Pollock Co. and Saluda Hill Landscapes. Finalists in the small business category are Elite Lawn and Landscape LLC, Re/Max Purpose Driven and The Perry Agency.
Ikeiya Blakely of Busy Bees Playhouse, Christina Brown of Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union and Anna Mills Cox of Amplified Communications LLC were named finalists for Young Female Professional of the Year. Their male counterparts are Gavin Brown of Transitions Homeless Center, J.R. Fennell of the Lexington County Museum and David Ruiz-Puyana of Elite Lawn and Landscape LLC.
Winners of those four honors — along with recipients of the Mike Till Impact Award and the Ambassador of the Year Award — will be revealed at the chamber’s 2025-26 awards ceremony and annual meeting. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, with registration, reception and networking planned from 11:15 a.m. to noon and the program and luncheon slated from noon to 1:30 p.m.
W. Keller Kissam, president and CEO of Dominion Energy, will serve as keynote speaker.
“Each year, the chamber recognizes the achievements of our shareholders and celebrates their outstanding efforts at our chamber awards luncheon and annual meeting,” the Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center said in an email announcing awards finalists. “Join nearly 300 of Lexington’s most notable businesses to honor our shareholders, young professionals and ambassadors.”
General admission is $60 per person. Businesses can reserve a table of eight for $480.
