Lexington County Animal Services shares statistics, need for more adoptions

Posted

From April 21 to April 27, Lexington County Animal Services had a population of 131 dogs. This included 78 intakes of dogs completed in a week.

Fourteen dogs were adopted, and the shelter’s weekly euthanasia was 14.

The shelter’s dog capacity is currently 128, so they are over capacity by three. This means three are at risk of euthanasia.

Those who are looking to adopt a new pet can visit 24petconnect.com to see the adoptable animals. Those who are missing a pet can visit the shelter for a walkthrough.
