Lexington County Chili Cookout set for Feb. 21

Posted

The 7th annual Lexington County Chili Cook-Off, presented by the Old Mill BrewPub and Lexington County Blowfish will take place on Sunday, Feb. 21 from noon to 5 pm.

The event will take place inside the new Icehouse Amphitheater Pavilion. The Pavilion will be home to the Cookoff, the popular summer Market and lots of other events.

It will be large enough for food and beer vendors and lots of other good and exciting stuff you’ve come to expect at Icehouse events.

This will be an open-air pavilion with big overhead fans for the summer and outdoor heaters for the winter.

The cook-off has become a signature event each February in Lexington as businesses and restaurants from across the county compete for judges and the public’s votes.

Freeway Music bands will once again be performing on stage throughout the day.

Those who want to showcase your favorite chili recipe, email John Clinger of the Old Mill Brew-Pub below to register your cook team for the event.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by visiting www.goblowfish.com . Proceeds benefit local Lexington County charities.

In other news, the Lexington County Blowfish have postponed the Feb. 10 luncheon at the VIP Stadium room.
