Posted

Steven Michael Schulz, 48, of Lexington County has been charged with third degree sexual exploitation of a minor and unlawful dissemination of obscene material to a minor.

According to a release from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department requested SLED investigate. Schulz was charged on April 1.

Arrest warrants say that in October 2024, Schulz “knowingly possess[ed] material that contained a visual representation of a minor or a morphed image of an identifiable minor engaging in sexually explicit nudity when a reasonable person would infer the purpose is sexual stimulation.”

Warrants also state that Schulz disseminated obscene material to a minor.
