Lexington County will host a Backyard Benefits workshop, “Spring into Rain Gardens,” on Friday, March 6.
The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lexington County Auxiliary Building, located at 605 W. Main St., Room 113. The cost to attend is $40.
The workshop will feature a lesson on the benefits and function of rain gardens, as well as hands-on instruction to construct a rain barrel for participants to keep. A free “learn-only” option is available for those who do not wish to participate in building a rain barrel.
Registration is required, and space is limited. Participants must be age 16 or older. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
