Residents have one last chance to weigh in on how Lexington County uses its opioid settlement funds.
The final session is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lexington, 415 Barr Rd.
In August, the Town of Lexington unanimously approved a grant agreement with Lexington County to support a mobile opioid education classroom to use in schools and at community events.
The funds will be used to prevent opioid misuse within Lexington County and will be available to law enforcement agencies throughout the county, so it is on other town and city council agendas throughout the county as well.
The approved agreement allocated $432,000 in funding awarded by the South Carolina Opioid Recovery Fund Board.
