The Lexington High School and Zander Jeffcoat’s domination of cross country in the county continued on Aug. 31. Under overcast skies at Wildcat Stadium, Jeffcoat (last on right) was a repeat Lexington County champion with a time of 5:07.00. He was followed by fellow Wildcats Grant Goldsmith, Owen Harries and Judsen Taylor and Chapin’s Holden Tutich to round out the Top 5 standings. In addition, the Lexington boys cross-country won the team title for the 14th consecutive year with a total of 1:23:01:07, followed by Chapin, River Bluff, Irmo and Dutch Fork.
