A Lexington man is accused of driving a car through a house and then fleeing the scene.

Jeffrey O’Neal Yasmine, 39, is charged with attempted murder, domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, malicious injury to personal property greater than $2,000, failure to stop for blue lights and three counts of unlawful conduct toward a child, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Per a release, there were three adults and three children in the home, and one adult sustained minor injuries.

“Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Riglaw Circle after Yasmine ran his car through the front of a home Feb. 27,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon is quoted. “Yasmine left the home before deputies arrived.”

The release states that Yasmine ran away after deputies attempted to make contact with Yasmine on March 5 while patrolling South Lake Dr. After a short pursuit, Yasmine’s car ran out of gas leading to his arrest.

Yasmine was taken to the Lexington County Detention Center following his arrest.
