Wilfrid J. Demers Jr., 91, of Lexington, has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the man who died in a house fire on April 1 just after midnight.

Lexington man, age 91, dies in house fire

Wilfrid J. Demers Jr., 91, of Lexington, has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the man who died in a house fire on April 1 just after midnight.
The house fire happened in the 100 block of Longview Street in the Lexington area, not far from the White Knoll area.
Demers was pronounced dead at the scene, and his autopsy is scheduled for April 3.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
