George Woodrow Stoudemire III, 55, of Lexington, has been identified as the person who died in a single-vehicle crash on Oct. 20 at 6:12 a.m.
The accident occurred near the 42-mile marker on I-20 westbound in the Leesville area.
According to Lexington County Coroner Fisher, Stoudemire was traveling west when he struck a deer, veered off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
He was wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
