Da’Niyah Shanesse Fulks, 20, of Lexington County, has been charged after cars were stolen from a dealership and damaged.
Fulks was charged with three counts of grand larceny, two counts of breaking into motor vehicles, one count each of malicious injury to real property and criminal conspiracy, and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
“We received a report about a suspicious vehicle near a dealership and body shop in the 2500 block of South Lake Drive early Thursday morning,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a press release. “When a deputy got there, he noticed a car with significant front end damage. He determined the car reported as suspicious was driven through a gate at the dealership. He eventually found four other cars with damage indicating someone had tried to steal them.”
During the investigation, deputies pulled a car over that was reported stolen from the same dealership. Fulks and four minors were in that car, according to Koon.
She was arrested during the traffic stop, and the minors were taken into custody then transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.
