Lexington’s Second Wave Coffee & Books offers whimsical pumpkin patch

Posted

Out on South Lake Drive not far from downtown Lexington is a wooded spot that feels like its own little autumnal universe.

Lexington’s Second Wave Coffee & Books has a shady, festive pumpkin patch open to the public.

Pumpkins, gourds and more line a trail into the woods that people of all ages can traverse and adopt their next front porch decor from to celebrate the fall season.

And it’s for a good cause, too. The sign at the entrance of the patch reads, “Every pumpkin purchased helps individuals and their families with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”

It is located at 529 S. Lake Dr. in Lexington.
