Library scholarships available

Friends of the South Congaree-Pine Ridge Library is offering scholarships to high school seniors.

The Friends honor Carol B. Clark, the first branch librarian manager, by naming a scholarship in her honor.

Carol has served as the Branch Manager since the library opened on July 19, 2007. In Spring of 2020, Carol was presented the 2020 Public Library Employee Excellence Award by The Friends of South Carolina Libraries.

The Friends of South Congaree-Pine Ridge Library are offering 2 scholarships. High school seniors in the service area of the library are eligible. Students from Airport High School, White Knoll High School, homeschool students, Virtual or Charter school students, or students who attend private schools are eligible if they live in the service area of South Congaree and Pine Ridge.

The funds may be used for post-secondary education expenses. The Friends of the South Congaree-Pine Ridge Library shall review all applications and shall have full authority to grant the scholarship.

Deadline for completed applications is extended to April 1. The scholarships will be award to the winners at the April meeting of the Friends of the South Congaree-Pine Ridge Library.
