Life lessons from 2020

Posted

2020 has been a year of change.

Some have lost jobs, family, homes and so much more.

Racism and crime has torn our country apart.

And we are suffering from a global pandemic.

We’ve adjusted our lives and ways of thinking.

For myself and my family, it has been a testy year.

Here are some things I’ve learned:

• Learn to forgive. I know sometimes it is hard to do, but do it in your own way.

• Pray for those still hurting and needing peace.

• Eat healthier. Your health matters the most. Without a healthy body and mind, life is so much more challenging.

• Be happy. Make time to do things that you love.

• Find a safe way to spend time with a loved one.

• Help someone in need. No matter what it entails.

• When times get tough, have a plan B. Learn how to readjust and still maintain your goals.

• Have a “to-go” bag of necessities and essentials for emergencies.

• Love one another. You don’t know someone’s story, struggles, fears or goals.

We all are working towards the same dreams ultimately.
