Many families are are celebrating high school graduations, a wonderful milestone in a young person’s life. Special congratulations to the youngest graduates in Red Bank this week.

The Red Bank UMC Preschool celebrates their graduation ceremonies this evening for the 4 year old class that will be moving on to kindergarten next school year. In other news for the preschool, they’ll be expanding again next school year from a 4 day program to 5 days, Monday to Friday—still on a half-day schedule. The school is currently registering for the 2019-2020 school year, contact them at 359-0329.

More VBS info for you this week: South Lexington Baptist Church will hold “In The Wild: Amazing Encounters With Jesus” June 17 to 21, 6-9 pm nightly.

Lexington Church of God, at 1331 Nazareth Road, will offer their VBS, “ROAR: When life is wild, God is Good” June 24 to 28 at 6 pm. This is for age 3 through 5th grade, with a free meal each night. For questions or to register, 803-957-6675.

Lexington District 1

will offer its free meals program again this summer. Parents in Red Bank need to be aware that Saxe Gotha Elementary will not participate this year. The nearest schools that will offer the free food program are White Knoll Elementary in West Columbia, Forts Pond Elementary in Pelion and Gilbert Primary. The program begins June 10 Monday through Thursday. Meals must be eaten on site. Breakfast and lunch are offered with different operating times. For more information, visit www.lexington1.net .
