Students at Lake Murray Elementary couldn’t help but smile when they logged into their brand-new Chromebooks.

Members of the LMES PTA donated the devices to provide students with full-sized keyboards they can use while having a complete screen-to-reference exercises. This technology purchase provides a device for all current LMES fifth-graders.

PTA members raised most of the funds at the school’s FundRun last spring, with the remaining cost met through an internal grant program made up of fundraising proceeds set aside to help with non-annual budget items.

The students created thank-you cards for the PTA to show their appreciation for and excitement about the Chromebooks. LMES’s PTA works hard to listen to students and put their educational needs first.
