Local embezzler gets more than 4 years

A national dumpster brokerage’s ex-IT manager received more than 4 years in federal prison last Friday.
William Tye Grisel, 40, of Lexington pleaded guilty to embezzling over $1 million from the Big Red Box company from 2014 to 2017.
While Big Red Box was forced to lay off employees, Grisel spent much of the money on lavish trips, cars and an airplane.
Grisel was sentenced to 51 months in federal prison, followed by 3 years supervision and was ordered to pay back $1,050,000 in restitution.
