Chronicle reader Tim Houghtaling writes from Florida: On Oct. 23, 2020, Foreign Policy’s James Palmer broke the news “they” were out to get Hunter Biden. He quoted NBC News Now about “a 64-page document that was later disseminated by close associates of President Donald Trump appears to be the work of a fake intelligence firm.” They presented a video stating as fact “Inside the False Conspiracy Theory being pushed about the Bidens.”

I had never heard this story. I have, however, in my former professional life, followed activities of the Chinese Communists, followed it’s operatives around Michigan as they swept up any materials thought useful.

I watched as Venezuela, Columbia and Cuba became springboards for inserting intelligence agents across our borders.

I read Peter Schweizer’s “Secret Empires, How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends” (2018) and “Profiles in Corruption, Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite” (2020) which provides details on what some call “the Biden Crime Family.”

The Chinese have a name, guanxi, for buying off kin of powerful people. The Biden Family operation is no different from the Clinton Family Foundation.

The Biden laptop was no revelation. To see ‘NBC News Now’ presenting “Inside the Campaign to ‘PizzaGate’ Hunter Biden” was astounding. To repeatedly state “there is no basis in reality” is a fib.

Vice President Joe Biden gave his dishonorably discharged son Hunter a free ride to China on Airforce 2. Biden failed to even mention the big news of the day. That was the trip Hunter slipped off with the then Secretary of State’s stepson to collect millions of “investment dollars” – the keys to the Bank of China. To say NBC News Now distorts the truth is being kind.
