Dixieland Jazz: Feb. 2, 2:30–5 pm at the Lourie Center, 1650 Park Cir, Maxcy Gregg Park, Columbia. Bring a snack and a soda for yourself or bring munchies for the hospitality table as you enjoy LES FLAT OUT STRANGERS performing music inspired by Django Reinhardt and other swing artists from the 20’s-40’s. Gospel: Feb. 8, 7:30 pm at Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College. Enjoy the coming together of these HBCU gospel groups as they spread the hopeful message in this unique performance. The choirs include: Allen University, Benedict College, Claflin University, Clinton College, Denmark Technical College, Morris College, South Carolina State University, and Voorhees College.

GOSPEL SINGING: Feb. 1, 6 pm, Midland Gospel Singing Center, 705 Martin Smith Rd., Gilbert, SC, with guests Forever Changed and Debra Perry & Jaidyn’s Call. Admission free, a love offering will be accepted. Refreshments will be served.

Karoke Night: Jan. 30, 5-9 pm at Second Wave Coffee and Books. Food and drink specials, local talent, and family fun! Joint event hosted by The Arc of the Midlands and Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center.

River Rocks Music Fest: Apr. 18, 12-8 pm at Central Energy, 2030 Gregg St., Columbia. The 10th annual festival will feature Rising Appalachia, The Fritz, Little Bird, and Blocker and feature many family-friendly activities like axe throwing, a rock climbing wall, face painting, balloon art and more.
