There’s a new church in Red Bank, called The Church At White Knoll. Sunday, August 25, the first service will be held and everyone is invited to attend. The services will be at Carolina Springs Middle School on Platt Springs Road at 9:30 am. There will be coffee, a children’s ministry, and more. As a service project, you are asked to bring a toiletry item to donate to the Nancy K. Perry Children’s Home. For information, find their Facebook page or contact the church at (803) 767-7595.

The White Knoll Timberwolves varsity football team opens its season Friday night with a home game against Brookland-Cayce High School at 7:30. Come out and support the Timberwolves in the Wolf Den.

If you’re just getting into the school ages with your children and are still looking for a preschool, check out next Thursday’s Open House at Red Bank United Methodist Preschool, located on South Lake Drive at Red Bank United Methodist Church. It is expanding this year to a full, five day program, still half-day classes, along with Mom’s Morning Out offerings. It continues to offer afterschool programs as well. The open house is August 29, 5-7 pm. Interested parents still looking to register their child should call 359-0329 for more information.

Happy birthday this week to John Mintz, Devon Ash, Jimmy Shealy, Greg Bolick, Stephen Whittle, James Bouknight, Mark Kyzer, Chris Smith, Shelly Joyner, and Mike Kinzie.

Happy anniversary to Wayne and Betty Taylor.
