In my travels this week I ended up at the swearing in of new Pelion Police Chief John Rebolj. Chief Rebolj takes over after Chief Mike Crider retired after many years of service.

The Quail wishes him much success in his new position.

THE QUAIL visited The Hen House and learned it has to postpone its sale and quilt raffle this fall due to covid-19. The Hens decided it would be best to delay this event until early next year and see how conditions are in the spring.

THE QUAIL and student photographer Ramie Kelly covered the Wagener-Salley War Eagles playoff against McCormick. This was among the top games we have enjoyed. The game was not decided until the final seconds with the War Eagles prevailing 48 - 38. The team goes the next round against Lamar.
