No Peach Festival again this year

>Gilbert Community Club directors have decided to cancel the 2021 Lexington County Peach Festival. This is the 2nd year the festival has been cancelled due to covid.

The health and safety of everyone was the mai of everyone was the main concern. However, planning takes a year. Scheduling food vendors, suppliers, entertainers and other has to be completed before July 4.

The club is thankful for its many years and looks forward to a 2022 festival.

CONGRATULATIONS to Gilbert High students Leah Kearse and Brian Scircle as the Gilbert Community Outstanding Academic Athletes. Club members Jennifer Stalvey and Kelli Frost presented the awards. The GHS athletes and Harley Boatwright, Eli Mayers, Blake Wise, JJ Brentlinger, Jackson Caulder, Brenden Boatwright, Grayson Dowden, Grayson Keisler, and Kyle Decker attended the AAA State competitions last weekend after break inge a GHS record for qualifying.
