Named after two four-legged friends, Macie and Milo’s Brew Pup is set to open March 1, 2026, offering Lexington an off-leash dog park, lawn games, drinks, food trucks and more.
“I began developing a business plan for a place where our family, friends, and pups could gather daily–a space to relax, enjoy good food and drinks, and create lasting memories,” a Facebook post from the soon-coming business said.
Currently under construction at 140 Cromer Rd. in Lexington, not far from Gray Collegiate Academy, the 4.3-acre establishment will allow attendees to bring their furry friends. While admission will be free for humans, owners who bring their pups will be charged a facility fee.
Dog owners can choose between daily admission ($15), monthly membership ($75), yearly membership ($500) or visit packs that can be shared with family members. Five visits cost $70, 10 visits cost $130 and 20 visits cost $250.
While hours are not set in stone, a post says the park and sports bar will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, with activities scheduled the remainder of the week. Wednesdays will include trivia night and half-price bottles of wine; music bingo and beer specials will be offered on Thursdays; live music with local artists on Fridays and Saturdays; and Saturday and Sunday mornings will offer live house music and DJ sets.
Construction began back in August and includes four custom pavilions with fans for the summer and heaters for the winter.
There will be two parks for the four-legged guests, separating big dogs from small dogs. A “paw enforcement patrol” officer will be present and trained to separate dogs who engage in rough behavior. Aggressive dogs may lose park privileges, the post said.
For safety, all dogs must be up to date on vaccines, and records must be uploaded to the park's software. Dogs older than 10 months must be spayed or neutered, and guests must sign a waiver holding themselves accountable for their dogs’ behavior.
A list of roughly eight to 10 protective breeds will not be allowed in the park, according to a social media post. At this time, the list has not been provided; however, in the comment section, the Macie and Milo’s Brew Pup account confirmed that pit bulls and German Shepherds are among the breeds not allowed on the premises.
“Unfortunately, many insurance companies maintain restricted breed lists that limit certain breeds from access,” the comment said. “While we completely understand that many Pit Bulls are incredibly gentle and well-behaved, today’s liability regulations often dictate these types of policies.”
The comment added that if the insurance company were to revise its policy in the future, it would allow all breeds to join.
A late November update said concrete is scheduled to be poured in early December, with turf installation expected to begin a few weeks after by Cohn Construction.
