Second grade students at Oak Grove Elementary School tested their business skills at the school’s first Economics Fair recently.
The students worked to earn money for several weeks by doing their “job” of being a student. At home, they created a product and storefront to sell their merchandise.
With their stores ready, the young entrepreneurs rented space from the Economics Fair and sold their products to fellow students.
Declaring the fair a success, students enjoyed the real-life application of social studies standards.
