A new study shows South Carolina has the 22nd healthiest economy in the US.
SeniorLiving.org today released its Best and Worst State Economies in the US study, which analyzed the most recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics and Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The rankings were determined by analyzing data pertaining to unemployment rates, wages and gross domestic product in every state.
Here are key findings in South Carolina:
• #2 (tied) in unemployment rate, 2.4%
• #1 in change in unemployment (2015-2019), -60.0%.
• #45 (tied) in average annual wage, $43,210
• #46 in per capita gross domestic product, $46,559.06
