A heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions company headquartered in North Carolina has been approved to build a new facility in Lexington County, expanding its existing operations and bringing 60 new jobs.

Hoffman & Hoffman’s $8.5 million investment in Lexington County, according to a press release from the Office of Gov. Henry McMaster, moves the company to its new facility located at 1 Southern Ct. near where Highway 378 and Interstate 20 meet in the West Columbia area.

Public documents detail that the company currently employs 96 people in Lexington County with its existing operations.

“Hoffman & Hoffman’s decision to grow here in Lexington County speaks volumes about the strength of our workforce and the confidence companies have in this community,” Lexington County Council Chairman Todd Cullum said in the release. “Their expansion not only brings new jobs, but it reinforces the momentum we’re seeing across our industrial sector.

"Hoffman & Hoffman has long been a trusted partner across the Southeast and here in Lexington County, and we are proud to support their continued growth and the impact they will make right here at home.”

The company’s move to its new facility will likely be in the second quarter of 2026.

“Hoffman & Hoffman delivers high-efficiency commercial HVAC equipment, innovative building controls, expert mechanical services and specialized hydronic systems,” according to the release. “The company operates 15 facilities and serves customers across multiple industries throughout the Southeast.”

Originally referred to as Project Watch on Lexington County Council agendas, Hoffman & Hoffman’s move is one of two major economic development projects council unanimously signed off on during the Dec. 9 county council meeting.

Originally referred to as Project Badger, U.S. Venture Inc. has been approved to move to Lexington County, bringing 45 new jobs and a $14.2 million investment.

This Wisconsin-based company is an automotive products distributor. It will be located at the 803 Industrial Park near Columbia Metropolitan Airport. The park is owned by CAE and a private developer, Cullum told the Chronicle.
