Mr. Hugh Rogers was recognized at the last Pelion Town Council meeting with a plaque and words of thanks for his many years of service as the town legal counsel. Mr. Rogers gave some enlightening memories of his many years work and the mayors with whom he has worked.
Pelion Library hosts Halau Hula ke Alohalani July 27 at 10:30 a.m. for grades K-5. Discover the wonders of Hawaiian culture with puppets, song, and dance. Listen to the traditional language of Hawaii and join in the famous hula dance.
North of 50 meets July 31 at the library at 11:15 a.m. for ages 60 and up. This program for senior citizens includes workshops, crafts, games, and more.
The library presents “S. C. Plants the Seed” August 2, 3 to 7 p.m. for all ages. Building a better world starts with you and your health. This program teaches children how nutritional foods factor into a healthy lifestyle and adults learn healthy ways to prepare and store fresh fruits and vegetables. Livingston Farms will be selling locally-grown produce.
