Physical therapist expands to Cayce

Posted

Vertex Physical Therapy, a Columbia based physical therapy practice, has opened an office at 1105 12th Street in Cayce.

On Saturday, June 1 they held a grand opening and open house for people residing in the Cayce-West Columbia area. Visitors got a tour of the facility and explanation of what all they can do there.

Brandon Vaughn and Jim Floyd originally opened the practice in 2016 on Mill-wood Ave in Columbia. It is unique because all of the therapists are Doctors of Physical Therapy. And unlike many local PT practices, patients spend the entire appointment hour with their doctor.

They started with 2 doctors and now have 11.

While they accept anyone, their patients tend to be active people who enjoy a variety of sports and recreation activities. Their services range from on-site evaluations to all kinds of treatments including “dry needling.”

The new facility in Cayce also has a fitness practice under Director of Training Josh Jeffery. It came about as a result of a merger with Carolina Performance Training. They do both remote and on-site programming and training, sports performance enhancement, Olympic lifting, nutrition and lifestyle coaching.
