Students at Pine Ridge Middle School will move temporarily from in-person classes to virtual learning for 2 weeks.
The virtual learning period began Tuesday, Feb. 16, the day after the President’s Day holiday. Students are tentatively scheduled to resume in-person classes on the Pine Ridge campus on Monday, March 1.
The decision to move to temporary virtual instruction is a result of the school meeting the 5% district metric for positive covid-19 cases among students.
There will be no athletics, clubs, activities and/or events held on school grounds during the 2-week virtual learning period. These activities will resume when students return to the Pine Ridge campus for inperson classes.
Families may pick up free student meal bundles at Pine Ridge Middle School on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 am-1 pm. Reserving free meals in advance is highly encouraged to ensure availability. For ordering instructions, click this link: https://www.lex2.org/apps/news/article/1368403.
For additional questions about meals, contact food services at (803) 739-8381.
The 2-week shift does not affect students in the full-time Virtual Academy.
