Merry Christmas to all. There are many opportunities for seasonal observances at our local houses of worship to celebrate the holiday—here are a few highlights.

Red Bank United

Methodist Church’s choir will present its annual Christmas cantata December 22 at the 11 am service. The church will hold a Christmas Eve service on the 24th at 5 pm.

Red Bank Baptist Church will hold its Christmas Eve Service at 6 pm on the 24th. There will be a “Parent’s Morning Out” December 21, 10 am-1 pm, for ages 5K through 6th grade. There will be Christmas craft activities for the kids to keep them occupied while mom and dad get some things done—shopping, perhaps?

St. James Lutheran will hold its Christmas Eve Service at 7 pm December 24.

Lexington Church of God will hold its Family Christmas Eve service at 5 pm.

South Lexington Baptist’s Christmas Eve service will be at 6:30 pm.

Radius White Knoll will hold two Christmas Eve services— at 5 and 7 pm.

School may be letting out for the holiday break, but parents of talented students in the arts need to know that the 2020 Tri-District Arts Consortium Summer Program nomination period is open for middle school students. They may audition in creative writing, dance, music (strings, vocal and wind/percussion), theater or visual art. Teachers, administrators or parents may nominate students using forms available at www.tridac.org . Tri-DAC accepts nominations until January 15, 2020. Tri-DAC will be held on the campus of the Palmetto Center for the Arts at Richland Northeast High School June 29 through July 18, 2020.
