Preseason Football at Lexington and River Bluff High Schools

Posted

Lexington residents got a full dose of Thursday Night Football of the high school variety.

Both Lexington and River Bluff high schools held multi-team scrimmages at their respective football stadiums.

Blythewood, Camden and Airport varsity and junior varsity teams competed in The Swamp against the Gators. The Eagles' visit marked the return of head coach Andre Cook and his son Apollos to the school where the elder Cook was an assistant head coach and the younger Cook a wide receiver.

Wildcat Stadium saw a three-team varsity scrimmage with Lexington, Lugoff-Elgin and Dreher.

Lexington, River Bluff and Airport will compete in the Aug. 12 Lexington Sportsarama at White Knoll High School.
