Lexington County’s newest Lowes Foods grocery store will open on Nov. 6 at 8 a.m. in the Red Bank area near the new Panda Express.
The store, located at 5436 Platt Springs Rd., is part of a $65 million mixed-use development that will include townhomes, retail and more. It is expected to be completed in 2026.
“Located between 5400 and 5470 Platt Springs Road, the development features a 51,000 square-foot Lowes Foods grocery store, which will serve as the anchor tenant. Additionally, the development will include 10,000 square feet of retail space next to Lowes Foods and an 8,400 square-foot outparcel dedicated to medical-related retail,” according to a 2024 media release from NAI Columbia.
Businesses already operating in the development, which is across the road from Publix, include Chipotle, Whataburger and Panda Express.
Additionally, about 142 new townhomes are under construction.
