Riding with Dream Riders

Dream Riders on Sandy Hill Road near Gilbert is a non-profit for horseback riding for special needs children and adults. They have received a $10,000 match for Midlands Gives.

Donations of $10 or more this week will allow them to receive prizes and awards. All donations will go towards weekly therapeutic riding lessons.

They have 5 horses for foster children, Wounded Warrior veterans, and para-dressage for para-athletics. Some of their riders have qualified for Special Olympics.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Raymond Boozer who has turned 92 years young. His daughter Linda Ashley held a birthday party for him and his wife Alice with their family.

Elliot Collier, husband of Breana Collier, the Boozers’ granddaughter, also celebrated his birthday with Raymond.

FIRST BAPTIST Church in Gilbert invites the community to their car wash and bake sale 9 am to noon Saturday, May 8. Their youth group is selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts discount cards until Saturday, May 23. For details call 803-892-3699.
