Congratulations to West Columbia’s newest Swiftwater Rescue Technicians: Eng/EMT J. Hair, Capt/A-EMT M. Aloan, FF/Paramedic L. Clanton, FF/A-EMT D. Beerman, and Capt/EMT B. Shire. Remember, if you’re planning on floating, kayaking or fishing on the river this summer wear a life jacket, pack out your waste, bring plenty of water and sunscreen and never try to stand on rocks under the water.
