Saluda Shoals Park transforms into Holiday Lights on the River

Holiday Lights at Saluda Shoals Park near Irmo is now open nightly through Dec. 31, 2025, from 6 to 10 p.m.

"Included with admission, a variety of activities will keep the whole family entertained," according to the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission website. "Palmetto Smiles Winter Wonder Dual Tube Slides: Feel the thrill as you slide down the winter wonder tube slide, a perfect treat for kids and the young at heart. Hayride and Train Ride: Take a leisurely hayride or hop aboard the Saluda Shoals train to explore the enchanting light displays from a unique perspective.

Laser Light Show: Don’t miss the spectacular laser light show on the Wetland Trail, a highlight that brings the spirit of the season to life. Letter to Santa: Get creative by coloring and decorating a letter to Santa, adding a personal touch to your holiday experience. Please note that activities will not be available on Thanksgiving night, Christmas Eve, and Christmas night, so plan your visit accordingly!"

Dates Santa is present include Dec. 5-7, Dec. 12-14 and Dec. 18-23. 

Admission prices vary based on the commission's green, yellow or red night system.
