South Carolina graduates are among the most prepared for college. That is the finding of a recent Brainly.com study on college-readiness. Brainly polled 1,000 American students - 22 from SC - to determine which students felt the most prepared for the transition to college. The SC students felt they were 89% prepared, according to the study. It also found:
• 64% of incoming college freshmen are worried about failing a college class
• 57% are worried about not being able to manage their course load
• 35% are worried specifically about managing their time between their classes
• 31% are worried about the level of difficulty of their classes. The top 5 states where students said they felt most prepared were Arkansas - 100%, West Virginia - 96%, Wisconsin - 91%, South Carolina - 89%, and Oklahoma - 83%. Least prepared students were from North Carolina - 47%, Indiana - 43%, New Mexico - 41%, New Jersey - 40%, and Illinois - 39%.
