Nine Chronicle Country competitive cheer teams will vie Saturday for state titles in three classifications at Colonial Life Arena. The finals kick off with Class 3A. Gilbert, Brookland-Cayce and Gray Collegiate all placed in the top 10 once the Lower and Upper State qualifiers were compiled together.

The Class 4A finals will follow with Airport looking to improve off its second-place finish to defending champion AC Flora at the Lower State qualifier. Lower State host Irmo also qualified for the finals.

The event concludes with Class 5A, where Lexington High School is the defending Class 5A champion. Among the contenders is 14-time champion Chapin, which won the qualifier this past Friday at Wildcat Gymnasium. The Lady Wildcats and River Bluff tied for third behind second place St. James and Dutch Fork tied with Spring Valley for fifth place.

Tickets are $10 for each classification final. The event is also available for streaming online at nfhsnetwork.com for a fee.
