Hollow Creek Community Club members held their annual “Senior Citizens Night Out” at their May meeting. HCCC members decorated their club house with nice table settings and decorations for the event.

HCCC members take the summer off. This was their last meeting until September.

Members with anniversaries during the summer were recognized: Dale and Charlotte Swygert, Tim and Mary Ann Sease, Jimmy and Jean Smith, Richard and Mary Smith, O’Neal and Betty Sessions, Dan and Pat Tinman, Timmy and Paula Koon and Jimmy and Susan Lucas.

HCCC members took time to plan for their October fundraiser which will be a barbecue chicken dinner. The Hollow Creek Community Club meets the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm They would love to have you become a member. For information call Dale Swygert at 892-6501.

Holly W.I.R.E. (Women Involved in Rural Electrification) with Mid-Carolina, are looking forward to their May meeting. On Monday, May 20, W.I.R.E. groups will have a joint meeting at the Mid-Carolina main office in their training room. Their guest speaker will be Catharine Clark from the Hosanna House, a local ministry. Their mission and outreach include: homelessness, counseling, food pantry, worship, recovery fellowship, service projects, and much more. Prior to the meeting a lite meal will be served. W.I.R.E. groups are involved in community fundraisers and more. To attend the meeting call Lacy Ridgell at 749-6471.
