Lexington County will hold a funeral service for 4 SC veterans July 13.

The service will include U.S. Marine Corp Cpl. Robert L. Young, 58, who died in Lexington County.

The 4 veterans will be laid to rest with military honors at 10 a.m. this Friday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

American Legion Post 193 of Chapin will ensure the soldiers receive the posthumous respect earned through service and sacrifice to our nation.

Their remains will be escorted by members of the Patriot Guard from the Chapin Town Hall to Fort Jackson National Cemetery beginning at 9:20 a.m.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher encourages the public to attend and assist in honoring these courageous individuals.
