Small business owner Judd Larkins will run against Joe Wilson in the 2nd Congressional District.

Wilson is a Lexington County Republican who lives in Springdale and is up for re-election next year.

Larkins said he is a Greenwood County native, Democratic Party candidate, workers’ rights advocate and a blue-collar worker since he was a teenager.

“I’m running for Congress because I believe we need a Representative who knows what it’s like to run a business in the 21st century,” he said. “It’s time that we take on the Big Interests and partisan politics that are influencing politicians in Washington.”

“Families are being bank rupted by medical bills and children are going to sleep hungry,” Larkins added.

“The status quo isn’t working, and I’m ready to stand up for the average South Carolinian and bring lasting change to the Midlands.”
