As the high school soccer season comes to a close this week, the top players received All-State honors on Sunday.

The SC High School Soccer Coaches Association selected 19 Lexington County athletes from the 5 completing classifications. Both Class 5A Lower State finalist Chapin and Class 2A Upper State finalist Gray Collegiate had 3 selections.

This year’s state finals will take place Thursday through Saturday at WC Hawkins Stadium on the campus of Irmo High School.

The North-South All-Star Soccer Classic rosters were also released Sunday. A total of 6 Chronicle Country players were selected to the South girls team - Jessica Padgett and Charlotte Sparks (both of River Bluff), Courtney Farr and Kaylin Liscusky (both of Airport), Riley Heffernan (Lexington), Harmony Hendrix (Gilbert).

The South boys, co-coached by Chapin’s Bob Taylor, will also have 6 Chronicle Country players - Carson Williams and Nicolas Demasi (both of Dutch Fork), Zach Abdulrahman (Chapin), Jovany Barrazza (Gilbert) and Travis Sewell (Lexington).

The Classic is set for June 19 at Fraser Field at Memorial Stadium on the campus of TL Hanna High School in Anderson.
