The Gamecocks men’s basketball team lost its final two games of SEC play last week, dropping games against Georgia and Tennessee. The team welcomed the Bulldogs to Colonial Life Arena for the team’s final home game this season. Five senior players were honored before the match. South Carolina lost 73-64 following a poor shooting night from the floor. Collin Murray-Boyles led the way with 24 points. In their next outing, the Gamecocks lost to the Volunteers on the road 75-65. The team finished SEC play 2-16 and will be the lowest-seeded team in the conference tournament. The team began postseason action on Wednesday after the Chronicle’s press deadline with a game against ninth-seeded Arkansas.
