AROUND CAYCE, SPRINGDALE & WEST COLUMBIA

The Springdale Police Department will host National Night Out from 5:30 pm until 8 pm Oct. 1, in the park beside Town Hall.

National Night Out events strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community and promote partnership between the two,” said Springdale Mayor Michael Bishop.

The free National Night Out is sure to be a great time and will offer free food and drinks, games, free goodies, public safety vehicles and performances.

Kids are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superhero. They’ll also get to know the dedicated officers that keep Spring-dale safe!

Springdale is currently seeking residents who are interested in serving on boards or commissions for the Town. There are vacancies on the following boards/commissions: Design Review Board; Board of Zoning Appeals; Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority Board of Directors (The COMET); and the Planning Commission.

If you oare interested in serving, contact Administrator Ashley Watkins at Town Hall, 803-794-0408, and request a Commission/ Board Interest Form.
