Concert at Icehouse Amphitheater
On Thursday, April 23, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Motown Throwdown will be performing at Lexington’s Icehouse Amphitheater, located at 107 West Main St. in downtown Lexington. The event is free to attend. “Motown Throwdown is a powerhouse soul band steeped in soul, funk, pop, rock, R&B, and jazz. This 5-piece funk machine brings deep Motown roots, jaw-dropping musicianship, and explosive improvisation to every performance – guaranteed to keep the energy high and the crowd moving all night long,” according to the venue’s website. On Friday, April 24, doors open at 6 p.m. for the event, On the Border: The Ultimate Eagles Tribute, at Lexington’s Icehouse Amphitheater, located at 107 West Main St. in downtown Lexington. This is a ticketed event. “On the Border brings the legendary sound of the Eagles to life like no other tribute band can. With note-for-note musical precision and rich five-part harmonies, this group authentically recreates the timeless hits that defined a generation,” according to the venue’s website. “Having played to sold-out venues across the United States and captivated audiences of all ages, On the Border delivers an unforgettable live experience that stays true to the Eagles’ iconic sound. Irmo Town Limits Concert Series
On Friday, April 24, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Moore Park, located at 7473 Church St. in Irmo, is Fleetwood Mac Night. This is a free event. “The Irmo Town Limits Concert Series is officially BACK, and we’re kicking things off with the legendary sounds of Fleetwood Mac,” according to the event listing. “Local favorites Sam & Illia are taking the stage to bring you all the hits for a night of magic under the stars. Freeway Music will be kicking off the night as the opener.” There will be food and drink vendors on site.

Historic homes tour
Locals can get an inside look at four private, historic Lexington-area homes during a tour happening on Saturday, April 25, from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets for the historic homes tour, organized by Friends of the Lexington County Museum, are on sale now. Tickets are $60 per person, or $100 per couple, and can be purchased through lexingtoncountymuseum.org. This event will take attendees inside the 1855 Henry A. Meetze House, the 1905 George Tillman Graham House, the 1895 C.E. Corley House and the 1890 Dantzler Harman House. The tour will conclude with a tea reception at the historic Palmetto Collegiate Institute, located at 104 Hendrix St. in Lexington. Strawberry picking at Clinton Sease Farm
On April 25, May 9 and May 23, you can pick strawberries at Clinton Sease Farm in Lexington (382 Olde Farm Rd.). These events are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission closes at noon, the last wagon ride to pick strawberries is at 12:15 p.m. and the farm closes at 1 p.m. Attendees ages 3 and older are $15 a ticket, while those younger get in free. Tickets include more than just the wagon ride and berry picking. Sharpvue Irmo International Festival
The Sharpvue Irmo International Festival will return to Moore Park in Irmo on April 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.. “Hosted in partnership with the Town of Irmo and sponsored by Sharpvue, the festival showcases the global cultures represented across Irmo and the greater Midlands through live performances, international cuisine, artisan vendors, and interactive exhibits,” according to a press release. “Now an annual tradition, the family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Columbia Fireflies play at home
The Columbia Fireflies, Columbia’s Minor League baseball team, will play at home at Segra Park, located at 1640 Freed St. in Columbia, from this Thursday through Sunday. Each night has a different theme. Thursday is USC night, Friday is the 10th anniversary celebration, Saturday is princesses and pirates night, and Sunday is Mason the Mascot’s 10th birthday party. Finlay Fridays
On Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Finlay Park, located at 896 Blanding St. in Columbia, is Finlay Friday. “The City of Columbia’s Finlay Park presents Finlay Fridays, a live outdoor concert series happening every Friday evening from February 20 through October 30, 2026,” according to the Capital City Lake Murray event listing. “Open to the public, the series brings live music, food, and drinks to the heart of downtown Columbia — the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Irmo Town Limits Concert Series
On Friday, May 1, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Moore Park, located at 7473 Church St. in Irmo, Opus & The Frequencies will be performing, as a part of the Irmo Town Limits Concert Series. This is a free event. There will be food and drink vendors on site. Gates open at 5 p.m.
