FRIDAY, APRIL 25

Irmo Town Limits Concert Series (concert)
The Town of Irmo invites you to Moore Park (7507 Eastview Dr.) for the first edition of the Irmo Town Limits Concert Series. This week’s show features an opening set from high-energy rockers Metalbox, followed by the popular Bon Jovi tribute band, Shot Thru the Heart. Gates open at 6 p.m. and Metalbox takes the stage at 7 p.m. Food and drinks are available from Kona Ice, Roy’s Grille, Cox Family BBQ and KW Beverage with Craft and Draft. Admission is $20. Saluda Shoals Spring Jazz Series (concert)
Saluda Shoals Park (5605 Bush River Rd.) hosts another concert in their Spring Jazz Series. Enjoy a set from one of the Midlands' most important jazz artists, trumpeter, composer and bandleader Mark Rapp and his Soda City Brass Band. This event starts at 7 p.m. The Cheese & Thank You food truck is on site, and beer and wine are available for purchase. Admission is $15. Visit  icrc.net for more information.

Charles Page Trio (concert)
Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St.) and The Charles Page Trio invite you to enjoy “The Jazz Affair.” Expect to hear smooth and soulful jazz versions of hits and classics by Stevie Wonder, Santana, Chaka Khan and more. Civil Remedy (concert)
Local rockers Civil Remedy perform at BOHO Pizza & Brew (2514 Augusta Hwy.). The band typically plays a loud n’ proud style of classic rock, but this show is a special unplugged acoustic performance starting at 7 p.m. This show is free to attend. SATURDAY, APRIL 26

5th Annual Car Show
Chapin Baptist Church (950 Old Lexington Rd.) hosts their Fifth Annual Car Show. The Men’s Ministry of the church presents the event and welcomes all cars, trucks and motorcycles from classic to modern. Come see the cars at this free event and vote on your favorite car. Enjoy free hot dogs, chicken bog and bottled water, along with a DJ and door prizes. There is a $20 registration fee for all car show participants, and proceeds go to various local charities. Kids Day of Lexington
Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) hosts the annual Kids Day of Lexington. Bring the family and meet your favorite local mascots, including Cocky, the Clemson Tiger, the Chick fil A Cow, Smokey The Bear, Olly the Otter and more. Get the kids' faces painted, or watch them play games. There are also people on hand to help educate families about health, safety and environmental awareness. The Tams (concert)
Classic beach music group The Tams performs at Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College. Expect to hear gold and platinum-selling hits and classics like  "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," "What Kind of Fool" and "Hey Girl Don't Bother Me,” along with many other tunes from a 50+ year career. MONDAY, APRIL 28

Pajama Storytime
Grab the kids and head over to the Lexington Main Branch Library (5440 Augusta Rd.) for Pajama Storytime. Throw on your PJs, grab a blanket, invite your stuffed animal friend and snuggle in for a soothing evening of stories, songs and rhymes. This event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free to attend. 10th Anniversary Spring Concert
The Lexington Community Band invites you to their 10th Anniversary Spring Concert at Lakeside Middle School (455 Old Cherokee Rd.). Enjoy a program of classical, jazz and pop favorites selected from the band’s decade of performing. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., and this event is free to attend. THURSDAY, MAY 1

Colton Beasley (concert)

Rising country music singer/songwriter Colton Beasley performs at Wings & Ale of Lexington (154 Ellis Ave.). Beasley plays a mix of covers and originals starting at 6:30 p.m. and running until 9:30 p.m. This show is free to attend. Visit wingsandaleoflexington for more information.

Tokyo Joe (concert)
The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) welcomes popular Columbia band Tokyo Joe to their Icehouse Live concert series, presented by the Lexington Medical Center. The band plays a high-energy mix of rock, pop and other favorites starting at 6:30 p.m. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase, and food vendors are on site. Across the county line

If you’re someone who’s serious about their BBQ, you’ll want to head to Newberry Memorial  Park (1000 Boyce St.) for Pork In The Park on Friday, April 25.  Pork in the Park, sanctioned by the Southern Barbecue Network, showcases delicious BBQ from across the Southeast, plus there’s live music, inflatables and activities for the kids. The Newberry Opera House (1201 McKibben St.) becomes a bluegrass bash on Friday, April 25, when Della Mae performs. A Grammy-award-nominated string band, Della Mae plays a fierce blend of bluegrass roots and modern edge in service of powerful songs that celebrate resilience and womanhood. Doko Park (171 Langford Rd.) and the Town of Blythewood invite you to Movies In The Park on Saturday, April 26. Arrive early for bouncy houses, beverages from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, snow cones from Kona Ice and other food and dessert vendors, then enjoy a screening of Jumanji at sunset. The SC State Museum (301 Gervais St.) hosts the USC String Project on Saturday, April 26. In addition to a performance from Intermezzo, the most advanced group at the USC School of Music, undergraduate and graduate music majors from the University of South Carolina offer museum guests instruction on stringed instruments. This event begins at 11 a.m. and is free for museum members and $1 for general admission for non-members. Visit scmuseum.org for more information.

The Enoree River Winery (1650 Dusty Rd.) hosts another edition of their Unpack The Porch concert series on Sunday, April 27. Enjoy live music from The Bunch Quitters and an opening set from Susan Douglass Taylor. A food truck from Lobster Dogs is also on site. This event runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is free to attend.
