Wild Lights
The Riverbanks Zoo & Garden (500 Wildlife Pkwy.) invites you and the kids to brighten up your Friday night with Wild Lights. From polar bears to flamingos, explore an illuminated wildlife safari featuring more than 60 brand-new larger-than-life lantern displays inspired by nature. Along the way, discover engaging interactive displays and fun photo opportunities. Winter Wine at Holiday Lights on the River
Saluda Shoals Park (6071 St. Andrews Rd.) adds something unique to its Holiday Lights on the River tour. The Winter Wine experience includes a wine tasting featuring eight different wines, light refreshments and a tour through the illuminated displays. Bob Baldwin (concert)
Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St.) and pianist Bob Baldwin present “An Intimate Night of Songs.” Expect to hear hits from Baldwin’s chart-topping contemporary jazz albums and tunes from the songbooks of legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder. A Christmas Carol
The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd.) and the Columbia Children’s Theatre invite you to walk alongside Ebenezer Scrooge as he learns the meaning of Christmas in the Radio City Music Hall stage version of "A Christmas Carol." Snowball Christmas Parade
The Town of Lexington brings back a holiday tradition with the Snowball Christmas Parade down Main Street. Bring the family and get in the Christmas spirit by watching an array of festive parade floats make their way through downtown. There might even be an appearance by Santa. Swingin’ Holidays (concert)
The SC Jazz Masterworks Ensemble makes spirits swing with its Christmas program, “Swingin’ Holidays.” The ensemble plays a collection of jazz for the holidays presented with some big band energy and swingin’ sleigh bells for a very merry holiday celebration. Music Bingo

The SC State Fairgrounds (1200 Rosewood Dr.) and the Junior League of Columbia host a holiday market on Friday, Dec. 6. The market is the largest fundraiser for the Junior League of Columbia and more than 160 merchants are on site with gifts, home décor, clothing and Christmas decorations. The market also hosts a Ladies Night Out event, a festive Holiday Ball and a chance to snap the perfect picture with Santa. This event runs until Sunday, Dec. 8 and tickets cost between $10 and $130.
