FRIDAY, JUNE 6

The Pszenny Project w/ Logan Blizzard Blues Band (concert)
The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) welcomes two blazing blues-rock bands, the Logan Blizzard Blues Band and The Pszenny Project. The Logan Blizzard Blues Band kicks things off with some sizzling six-string electric blues, and then The Pszenny Project closes things out with a gritty fusion of blues rock, funk and crowd-pleasing classic covers, along with their new hit single, “Smokey Bourbon.” Showtime is 6 p.m. and admission is $20. Comedy Night
The Chapin Theatre Company (830 Columbia Ave.) invites you to the first edition of their “Comedy Night In Chapin” event. This 90-minute PG-13 show features four of Columbia's finest comics: Josh Milz, Phil Carter, Topher Riddle and Jenn Snyder. Showtime is 7 p.m. and your $20 ticket includes a complimentary beverage. Christ Canterbury (concert)
Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St.) hosts an outdoor concert by Nashville singer/songwriter Chris Canterbury. “Since making Nashville, Tennessee, home in 2013, Chris has beat the highways and backroads of the heartland, singing his songs and writing the stories of the people he meets along the way. Backyard Saturday
Saluda Shoals Park (5605 Bush River Rd.) invites you to their Backyard Saturday event. Bring the kids and enjoy a fun and engaging outdoor nature awareness series. Each session features a new nature theme, brought to life through interactive activities, crafts, educational biofacts and storytelling. The Market At Icehouse
The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) hosts The Market At Icehouse. This is a farmer/grower and local artisan market that fosters a community-friendly atmosphere in which to promote, support and encourage local production. Come join your friends and learn about eating fresh produce, supporting local artists and the Certified SC program. The Market At Icehouse runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free to attend. The Gas Pumpers (concert)
The West Columbia Riverwalk Park & Amphitheater (109 Alexander Rd.) hosts the second edition of their Rhythm On The River concert series. This week’s band is The Gaspumpers, a Columbia variety band that plays classic rock, beach music, modern pop hits and country music. Showtime is 7 p.m. and admission is free. Tropic Like It’s Hot Luau

Homeland Craft Beer & Wine (103 Main St.) hosts a Tropic Like It’s Hot Luau dinner. This event is a fundraiser for the Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary, and your general admission ticket includes grilled pineapple Teriyaki skewers, Hawaiian Mac salad, mango cabbage slaw, jackfruit kalua pork, coconut cornbread, pineapple upside down cake and haupia. Pajama Storytime

TUESDAY, JUNE 10

9th Annual Taste On The River
Stone River (121 Alexander Rd.) invites you to their 9th annual Taste On The River event. Get ready for an unforgettable evening of indulgence as this premier culinary event brings together the best chefs, tastemakers and food lovers in the Midlands, all while supporting the beautification of West Columbia. Participating restaurants include Black Rooster, Fresh Poke, Blue Marlin, Signature Catering, The Dragon Room and many more. This event runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and tickets are $100. THURSDAY, JUNE 12

Modern Shag Night

The Granary (2638 Two Notch Rd.) hosts the SC Caribbean Festival on Saturday, June 7. The festival focuses on Caribbean culture, including music, food and festivities. The festival kicks off on June 5, but on the 7th, there's the Block Party featuring live music, food vendors, a kids zone and cultural exhibits.
