Halloween at the Park
Bring the family to Crooked Creek Park (1098 Old Lexington Hwy.) for the Halloween at the Park event. The Trick-or-Treat Trail will take you through the scenic disc golf trails and lead to the soccer fields at the back of the park. There, you’ll find a Glow Party, food trucks, inflatables, games, s’mores, and a hayride that will shuttle you back to the main parking lot. Registration is required for this event. Haunted History
The Lexington County Museum transforms into something spookier with its Haunted History tour. Ghoulish guides lead a spooky but not-too-scary journey through the museum property, telling ghostly stories, exploring strange and unusual events in Lexington County’s history, and revealing the strange remedies of the 19th century. Hall of Horrors
The Hall of Horrors Haunted Attraction (1153 Walter Price Rd.) has risen from the grave once again to give you a fright. The Hall is set on the abandoned Blackwell family farm, long avoided by locals due to the legend of Agnes Blackwell. "Locals warn that her ghost roams the cemetery on moonlit nights, a chilling reminder of the consequences of betrayal and the power of a vengeful spirit." The SC State Museum (301 Gervais St.) invites you to a spooky history lesson with its Dark History tour on Friday, Oct. 25. Discover the true story of Columbia’s catacombs, a series of mysterious tunnels built to hide anything from politicians to Confederate gold. Hear stories from Gullah Geechee folklore and learn about the path Gen. Sherman took during his march through Columbia. Tours run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are included with museum admission.
