FRIDAY, SEPT. 5

Wolfman String Band (concert)
Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor (710 Meeting St.) brings the Wolfman String Band to their Friday night concert stage. The Columbia band plays their unique mix of bluegrass tradition and jam-band experimentation from 8 to 9 p.m. Admission is a $10 donation, and the snack bar will be open. Wallen Nation/Lainey Nation (concert)
The Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) gives you some Friday night country tunes courtesy of two tribute acts, Wallen Nation and Lainey Nation. Wallen Nation brings Morgan Wallen’s chart-topping hits like “Last Night” and “Whiskey Glasses” to “Sand in My Boots” and “You Proof” to life. Lainey Nation, the ultimate Lainey Wilson tribute led by Caitlin Evanson, delivers fan favorites like “Heart Like a Truck” and “Things a Man Oughta Know,” delivered with heartfelt vocals and Southern charm. The Market At Icehouse

Willie Walker & Conversation Piece (concert)
Chayz Lounge (607 Meeting St.) and popular Columbia jazz band Willie Walker & Conversation Piece invite you to enjoy “A Night of Jazzy Grooves.” Expect plenty of soulful smooth jazz covers and originals from Walker and the band. Guitar Hero (concert)
Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd.) and the S.C. Jazz Masterworks Ensemble invite you to experience six-string heaven with “Guitar Hero.” The program features four guitarists playing in a dynamic variety of settings, including blues, ballads, modern jazz, swing and soul. Amos Hoffman, Greg Patterson, Zach Bingham and Bert Ligon gather on one stage for a one-of-a-kind celebration of guitar artistry. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

Irmo Farmer’s Market
The Town of Irmo invites you to Moore Park (7473 Church St.) for the Irmo Farmer’s Market, hosted by Mary’s Mobile Market. With a year-round growing season and plenty of sunshine, Irmo produces a wealth of fresh goods, and this farmer’s market is a great place to find local meat, dairy, produce and artisan crafts. 175th Anniversary Celebration
Lexington United Methodist Church (309 E. Main St.) hosts their 175th Anniversary Celebration. Take in a 10 a.m. blended service featuring music from the church’s praise band and chancel choir, as well as messages from former pastors Rev. Ken Owens and Rev. Miyoung Paik. Savage Trivia Night
