On Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., you can attend the Lifelong Learning Craft Club event. “Bring your supplies and work alongside others, chat and share ideas,” according to the event listing. This event, intended for adults, will take place at the Gaston Branch Library, located at 214 South Main St. in Gaston. On Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m., you can attend the Any Book Book Club. “Read books based on monthly themes or personal interests and enjoy casual discussions with fellow readers,” according to the event listing. This event, intended for adults, will take place at the Chapin Branch Library, located at 129 Columbia Ave. in Chapin. On Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m., you can attend Good Nature: Camping 101. “Learn how to set up a tent, what materials it takes to start a fire and everything else you need to sleep under the stars,” according to the event listing. This event, intended for adults, will take place at the Cayce-West Columbia Branch, located at 1500 Augusta Rd. in West Columbia. On Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., you can attend a crafty event. “Prepare for spring by making DIY coffee filter flowers,” according to the event listing. “Materials provided.” This event, intended for adults, will take place at the Lexington Main Library, located at 5440 Augusta Rd. in Lexington. On Friday, from 4 to 5 p.m., attend the Historically Speaking: Batesburg-Leesville event. “Step back in time to discover the stories, people and moments that shaped Batesburg-Leesville, presented by Lexington County Museum,” according to the event listing. This event, intended for adults, will take place at the Batesburg-Leesville Branch, located at 203 Armory St. in Batesburg. On Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon, you can attend the Social Scene: K-Pop Club event. “Join our monthly K-pop club to discuss new releases, play games and make crafts,” according to the event listing. This event, intended for teens and adults, will take place at the Gaston Branch Library, located at 214 South Main St. in Gaston. Tasting event at Hollow Creek Distillery
Hollow Creek Distillery in the Leesville area of Lexington County invites you to one of its weekly tasting events. Finlay Fridays at Finlay Park
On Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Finlay Park, located at 896 Blanding St. in Columbia, is Finlay Friday. “The City of Columbia’s Finlay Park presents Finlay Fridays, a live outdoor concert series happening every Friday evening from February 20 through October 30, 2026,” according to the Capital City Lake Murray event listing. “Open to the public, the series brings live music, food, and drinks to the heart of downtown Columbia — the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Performances take place from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and feature a variety of local and regional artists throughout the season.” Feb. 27 will feature the Jon Rooks Band.

Pilates in the Galleries
On Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Columbia Museum of Art, located at 1515 Main St. in Columbia, is Pilates in the Galleries. “End your day with a restorative full-body Pilates session surrounded by inspiring works of art in the newly reopened CMA Collection galleries," according to the event listing. "Led by Michaela Leung, who has been practicing Pilates since 2018 and began her comprehensive Pilates certification in 2023, these classes combine classical Pilates principles with contemporary movement for a balanced, mindful workout. Each session includes exercises to strengthen the core, improve flexibility, and enhance posture, with modifications offered for all experience levels. Palmetto Place Sweet & Savory: A Chef Competition
Early bird ticket sales end on March 1 for an event taking place in Columbia at The Hall on April 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. This is a fundraiser for Palmetto Place Children and Youth Service. “The most talented chefs across the Midlands battle it out to benefit Palmetto Place Children and Youth Services. Open to the public to eat,” according to the event listing. “Join us for an evening of Sweet and Savory fun featuring an awesome live band, an open bar with craft cocktails by Tito's Vodka, a silent auction, raffle, wine pull, and the most talented chefs across the Midlands! 11th Annual Denim and Pearls Oyster Roast Fundraiser
The Chapin Junior Woman’s Club, a non-profit organization, is hosting the 11th Annual Denim and Pearls Oyster Roast Fundraiser on Saturday, March 7, from 6 to 10 p.m., at The Cottom Press, located at 199 West Church St. in Little Mountain. “Each year, the Denim & Pearls Oyster Roast is the premier fundraiser for the CJWC,” according to the event listing. “For 2026, our primary beneficiary is The Perch, a first-of-its-kind inclusive community space operated by the Screaming Eagles Special Needs Organization. In addition, the event will fund CJWC scholarships, classroom grants for Chapin schools, community beautification projects and other Chapin Community Outreach Projects. The event is a night of Fun with more than 300 community members gathering at the Cotton Press. It’s a fully catered meal beyond the Blue Marlin oysters, casino games, music, dancing, a ‘Pearl’ dance contest, and an open bar. The 11th Annual Shamrock Parade
On Sunday, March 8, at 3 p.m. in downtown Lexington, Blowfish Baseball will present the 11th Annual Shamrock Parade. There will be Irish dancers, choo choo trains, bands, floats, pageant winners and more, according to the event listing.
